Best/Worst
What do you like best about being a Finance officer?
Probably the people and the experience of working with money and budgets. This was my first choice career field so I thought I would be interested in it and that turned out to be true for the most part. I also work with some incredibly smart people who I learn a lot from.
Worst-
Some days I wish I could work outside or do something different. At times I feel a little like my office could have been the one used in "Office Space".
I don't think I could pick one best day. What I enjoy most is seeing the people that work for me succeed. As a supervisor I try to take care of my NCOs and airmen as much as possible. Part of this is nominating them for quarterly/annual awards. When they win for their category it is great to see them happy and very rewarding for me.
Worst day-
Anytime one of my troops gets in trouble and/or they have negative personal issues that they are dealing with. Having to take care of personal issues is almost always more challenging than a work related problem, especially when the outcome is bad.
